Albariño Brothers Gisborne Albariño 2024
"It's delightfully fruited and elegantly fragrant on the nose, showing apricot, lemon peel, olive and oatmeal nuances, leading to a finely textured palate that's bright and juicy. Beautifully framed by crisp acidity, making it lively and tasty. At its best: now to 2027" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2024

Straw coloured with aromas of citrus, ripe peach, and jasmine. Flavours of stonefruit framed by refreshing citrus and salinity providing a racy and delicious wine with amazing length.
The Albariño Brothers are three friends from different backgrounds in wine. Ollie, Shaye and Ant are passionate about growing and making world class Albariño and are working together to take New Zealand’s stunning Albariño wines to the world.
Grapes harvested from two independent and pioneering Gisborne growers, Doug Bell and George Reynolds. Two selections of Albariño vine plantings from Spain and Portugal dry-farmed on clay loam soils. Grapes were harvested on the 11th of March. The dry season led to very low yields and intense flavours.
Grape parcels were fermented separately at different temperatures and maintained on full lees for 5 months with regular stirring to enhance palate texture. Filtered prior to bottling.
