Nectarine, apricot and brioche aromas are apparent on the nose while the palate is awash with fresh, juicy pineapple and citrus notes. This wine is underpinned by a fine textured minerality and rounded out by a touch of butterscotch coming from the malo-lactic fermentation. Thoughtful use of fine French oak binds these flavours together creating complexity and harmony in this fine example of Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay.
The Beach House Selection Chardonnay has become a favourite among Chardonnay lovers across New Zealand. Hand-picked and gently whole bunch pressed to tank to cold settle. The clean juice was then pumped into a selection of new and seasoned French oak barrels. Some were inoculated while others underwent wild ferment. 100% Malo-lactic fermentation was completed in barrel and every barrel was stirred once a week until the wine was blended, filtered and bottled.
