Hawkes Bay enjoyed one of the earliest and most settled seasons of recent times in 2014. The combination of Hawkes Bay soils and climate produce a pure expression of Syrah.
Grapes where gently destemmed leaving a percentage of whole berries in the ferment. We used open top fermenters with regular plunging, then it was gently pressed and post malo aged with oak.
