Intense dark amber colour in the glass. Wonerfully full nutty aromas on the nose with sweet, rich, warm flavours on a decadently smooth palate. This Spanis Sherry is a rich belsn of old Oloroso and sweet Pedro Ximenez matured in sloera for many years to create a rich sweet wine with full nutty and dried fruit aromas. Denomiacion de Origen 'Jerez-Xéres-Sherry'.
Cream Alameda is a blend of Olorosso and Pedro Ximenez. These wines are made from the grapes of the varieties Palomino an Pedro Ximenez. Palomino has been cultivated on the chalky 'albariza' soil from our own vineyards in the Balbaina and Miraflores districts to obtain the finest quality must. The must is fermented using a temperature controlled process in water-cooled tanks and taking advantage of the natural yeast of the vineyard. The wine is then lightly fortified to 17% to prepare it for ageing in oak barrels. The Pedro Ximenez is picked then left in the sun for several days to produce a very sweet wine. These two wines are then blended to create the Cream.
The Olorosso and Pedro Ximenez are matured in butss of American oak using the traditional 'Solera' systemusing the 'oxidative' ageing process to give the full rich nutty flavours.
Before bottling, the wine is stabilised using a cold treatment process and filtered. Bottled exclusively by Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana, S.A.
Food Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif or as an accompaniment of desserts and cheeses, or alternatively as a longdrink on the rocks with a slice of orange for a burst of citrus!
