This wine is a beautiful deep, dark garnet colour with an abundance of dark plum and ripe blackberry flavours complemented by integrated spice and mineral complexity. The palate shows dark, intense fruit of the forest flavours with an underlying spice notes. Though drinking well now, this wine will reward cellaring for up to five years.

Boundary Vineyards has six premium vineyard plots located in key New Zealand winemaking regions. With each of the sites we’ve tried to best match the specific varietal clone to that climate and terrain. Our vineyard managers work meticulously on each site to obtain the best possible fruit intensity at harvest. To reflect the individuality of each our wines, each carries its own name, that of the road bordering the vineyard site.

Food Pairing: This wine will work well with most duck or red meat dishes but particularly with those incorporating mushrooms.
