Brancott Estate Letter Series 'B' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022
"Very good wine from a challenging vintage. Ripe passionfruit, guava and grapefruit with a greener undercurrent of green capsicum and lemongrass supported by mouth-watering acidity" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Sep 2022
The most precise and varied winemaking techniques have been used to make this beautifully poised wine. The nose opens up with a riot of ripe peach, passionfruit and grapefruit aromas. The palate is broad and richly textured, with tropical notes, fresh citrus and capsicum underpinned by a mineral core. The concentration is superb, with layers of flavour unfolding to a lengthy finish. Though made to drink whilst it is young and vivacious, this wine may be cellared for up to three years to develop further complexity.
At Brancott Estate, we've had an eye on the future right from the start. From purchasing land across Marlborough and planting the region's first Sauvignon Blanc vines, to building a world-class winery and exporting globally – our forward-thinking mindset shapes everything we do. We want to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes.
Hand-crafted from grapes sourced from top-performing Marlborough vineyards, each wine is made in a distinctive style to reflect, not only the flavours of the region, but also the fine art of winemaking. The goal; a perfect harmony of aroma, flavour, structure and body.
Food Pairing: Perfect with Marlborough seafood - Cloudy Bay clams, Havelock Green Lip mussels or Cold smoked salmon. Also diving with fresh herb dishes - corn-fed chicken with salsa verde, or lamb rack with a mint and macadamia crust.
