Chianti Colli Fiorentini 2018 (Italy)
- Fruit
- Flowery notes
- Mild tannins
- Lively freshness
Ruby red with purple tones in the glass, showing good body. Intense and long lasting bouquet, with hints of fruit and slight flowery notes. The palate is soft with a lively freshness and mild tannins. Well balanced this wine is best consumed within 4-6 years from harvesting.
The Fattoria San Michele a Torri, covers an area of about 370 hectares, 55 of which are occupied by vineyards. The wellbeing of people and the environment is the root of all the production at San Michele a Torri, which for many years has been producing, with passion and professionalism, healthy, guaranteed and certified products.
Sourced from DOCG Chianti Colli Fiorentini, this wine is a blend of Sangiovese (80%), Canaiolo (10%), Colorino (5%), Merlot (5%). This DOCG is symbolic of the company, with the first harvest here dating back to 1987, then carried out -as it still is today- in the hills of Scandicci, which are 180 m high with south-southeast exposure, which allow a perfect ripening of the grapes.
Vegan friendly: produced without the use of animal-based fining agents.
Food Pairing: This red blend is a fantastic food wine, pairing beautifully with hearty Mediterranean fare. In particular it matches very well with appetizers such as Tuscan crostini with pate or salami and cheese thanks to an interesting olfactory appearance with well-marked fruity and floral scents.
