Collaboration Aurulent Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2017

Collaboration Aurulent Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2017

"Abstract artwork reflects the rich, complex, textural wines I strive to craft in collaboration with growers of the finest vineyard sites in Hawke’s Bay" Julianne Brogden, Winemaker

Straw gold with a green hue in the glass. The wine is perfumed with warm, riper, stone fruit with a hint of butterscotch, mealy and yeasty characters and an underlying streak of salinity. Finishing with a hint of French oak. The palate is elegant, rich, warm stone fruit, silken texture, layers of complexity, finishing with a fresh salinity and hint of lemon pith on the palate.

An integral part of Collaboration wines, Hawkes Bay’s maritime climate, microclimates and soil types provide a rich canvas of vineyard sites to work with. The winemaker has selected sites from some of Hawkes Bay’s finest winegrowing sub-regions that represent the ultimate varietal expression of the wines in their portfolio. Because of the tiny production of Collaboration wines, all of the vines are tendered by hand (with the help of family and friends) to ensure fruit of the highest quality is produced.
