Comera Terre Siciliane Nero D'Avola NV (Italy)
Full-bodied, voluminous body with earthy-wood notes and slightly burnt nuances recall strawberries and plum compote, worn in a supple, round tannin structure. Tannins, fruit and acid are beautifully balanced. Velvety, fruity and multi-layered drinking pleasure. This grape variety from Sicily has a red colour with violet nuances and an intense scent. Notes of cherry, black raspberry, currant and pomegranate stand out. Lingering, warm, fruity finish.
After crushing the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature. After racking and soft pressing the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks.
A return to old, never-forgotten values like real friendship, hearty dishes and good wine. With Comera the winemakers oenologists created an ambitious collection of red wine of high quality. Distinctive, well-structured and at the same time easy to drink and to enjoy.
Food Pairing: Nero d’Avola is a great wine to match with rich meaty meats. Some classic pairings include oxtail soup and beef stew, but you could easily swap BBQ burgers with bacon and everyone will think you’re a genius. The gamier the meat the better because it will simply make your wine taste more fruity and candy-like.
