A deep ruby red colour in the glass, revealing the exceptional structure of this Montepulciano. A bouqet of ripe red fruits -cherry, bitter cherry- entertwine with flowery violet notes on the nose. The palate is well balanced and warm with a fine quality mouthfeel. This wine is well structured, harmonious and mature.
The 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo fruit for this wine was grown in clay calcareous soil in Collecorvino. Harvesting occured in the first ten days of October, the after destemmming there was 5-7 days of maceration and soft pressing. Fermentation was in steel tanks for 15-18 days at 28-30 degrees celsius. The wine was then bottle aged for a further 6 months.
Pair this wine with traditional Italian fare especially with those dishes containing rich red meats. We recommend trying with and meat & cheese antipasto or a tomato based pasta dishes traditionally enjoyed during Italian's Primo course.
