Deepest crimson red with a slight purple hue. Aromas of mulberry jam, freshly baked brioche and raspberry coulis. The palate is succulent and coating with a great concentration, but a fine tannin bead keeps the sweetness in check. Cellar for up to 15 years from vintage.
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
It was wet up until Christmas, then dry and warm through the ripening period. An iconic vintage.
100% of grapes were destemmed before undergoing fermentation in closed top stainless steel tanks with inoculated yeast strains. Wine matured for 17 months in 25% new Oak barriques before being filtered, fined and then bottled in November.
