This gold medal winning New Zealand pilsner derives from the traditional Czech style, brewed with pilsner malt and cold-fermented with lager yeast. We use New Zealand hops and put most of them late in the brew to promote more hop flavour and aroma than a traditional pilsner. A crisp and clean beverage with a beautiful balance of bitterness and sweet malt.

Because lagers have such a refreshing flavour, you can pair these beers with just about any type of food. For example, they’re ideal for pairing with spicy dishes, as the hop crispness cuts through the spices and the sweet malt balances against the heat of chilli.  This malt forward aspect pairs well with grilled meat or fish, and crisp clean style balances the fat of a steak, or the salt in Chinese food or even tofu!
