Don Ramon Tinto Especial Barrica 2017 (Spain)
"Attractively fruited and elegantly perfumed, the bouquet shows raspberry, cherry, violet, anise and almond characters. It is succulent and supple on the palate with bright fruit flavours backed by spicy undertones, making it immediately appealing and drinkable. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Oct 2019
This wine shows a clean and bright ruby red with violet tones. The nose showcases medium intensity, complex aromas combining matured fruity notes with spices and balsamic hints from its aging. The palate is soft and well structured attack, harmonic with tannins from the oak and a long lasting aftertaste.
Traditional wine making, fermented at 28º C , followed by a 10 day maceration with skin contact. Ageing for 3 months in American oak barrels being matured in its own bottle before sale.
Food Pairing: Match with Barbecue grilled-meats, smoky dishes and Mexican food such as tacos, nachos, burritos, and chile rellenos.
