This vibrant Syrah has exotic aromas of violets, Black Doris plum and blueberry combined with subtle black pepper. The palate is elegant and concentrated with flavours of ripe blackberries, wild thyme and vanilla. This wine has an elegant structure, powdered tannins and a long complex toasty finish.
The Hawkes Bay fruit for this wine was held cold for four days prior to ferment and hand plunged frequently. It was then gently pressed off skins, and underwent 100 per cent malolactic fermentation.
Food Pairig: Delicious with venison steaks with a whiskey and mustard pan sauce.
