This delicious Hawke's Bay Cabernet Merlot displays dark cherry and blackcurrant with a hint of tobacco. The palate offers excellent fruit purity with balanced acidity and a silky texture. Highlights of wild blackberry and rich chocolate lift the palate to showcase silky, lingering tannins. Drinking beautifully now this wine can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years or beyond.
This Cabernet Merlot underwent malolactic fermentation while aging in a mix of new and seasoned older French oak. It was then gently extracted, blended and prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Matched perfectly with roast rack of lamb and crushed potatoes.
