Faultline Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir 2020
- Toasty oak
- Fresh raspberries
- Spiced red cherries
- Long finish
"It's attractively ripe and fragrant on the nose showing Black Doris plum, subtle spice, toasted almond and mushroom aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate displaying succulent fruit flavours and silky texture, offering lovely drinking. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021
This is a round, full textured Pinot Noir with aromas of concentrated red fruits interlaced with a hint of toasted oak. The palate displays flavours of fresh raspberries, and spiced red cherries with a silky texture and a long toasty finish. Fresh acidity balances the fine powdered structure complementing the fruit. Drinking beautifully now and with careful cellaring will mature into a more complex wine that can be enjoyed for the next five years.
Harvested from specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of the Wairau Valley in Marlborough.
Food Pairing: Fillet steak or chorizo and mushroom risotto.
