Four Daughters Gisborne Albariño 2022
Bright and pristine, showing apricot, fig, lemon zest and subtle spice aromas, leading to a fine and linear palate displaying excellent focus and drive. Bright acidity provides structure and frame, finishing long and mouth-watering.

This Spanish variety (from the Galicia region) has made quite an impression since it was introduced here in 2011. The fruit for this wine comes from the first commercially planted NZ vineyard, in Hexton, Gisborne. The juice was cool-fermented in stainless steel, then transferred to used French oak barrels for a few months aging for added complexity and mouth-feel.
