Isabel Estate Wild Barrique Marlborough Chardonnay 2024
Refined aromas of smoky wood and flint unravel to reveal a lifted bouqet of citrus blossom and white stone fruit. The palate is finely textured and beautifully composed, with understated power and a refined line of French oak.
Collector of accolades and glowing reviews, Isabel Estate Wild Barrique Chardonnay is highly talked about and admired. It is granted extended time on lees, with rich and luxurious flavours and texture, showcasing another feather in the winemaking cap.
Sourced from a mature single vineyard, this Chardonnay reflects its site with purity and finesse, delivering a wine of quiet confidence and enduring elegance.
This wine is crafted from some of the oldest vines on the estate, our Mendoza clone Chardonnay. The vines are 30+ years old and are naturally low yielding, also an attribute of the clone. This gives us fruit with great concentration and acidity. Canopy management throughout the growing season ensures the right amount of exposure of fruit to allow airflow through the canopy but avoid any sunburn to the fruit. Close-planted at 4500 vines per hectare.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with roasted chicken and tarragon cream sauce or a delicate mushroom risotto.
