JP Chenet Cabernet Syrah 2023 (France)

JP Chenet Cabernet Syrah 2023 (France)

"Splendidly fruited and fragrant, the bouquet shows blackberry, rich floral, and mixed spice aromas. The palate delivers a beautifully rounded and soothing mouthfeel with silky tannins, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Dark and intense ruby red. Intense nose of cherry and blackcurrant with a light and delicate note of spice. Powerful in aroma, this wine is perfectly balanced and structured.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Syrah (40%) which gives a very particular typicity to this wine.

Pays d'Oc vineyard, in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The soils vary greatly throughout the Vins de Pays d'Oc production area; there are sandy, clay-limestone, schist soils, etc.

The grapes are harvested when perfectly ripe, then destemmed, crushed and left to ferment for 6 to 12 days. The fermentation temperature is regulated so as not to exceed 32°C and the pressing is carried out gently to preserve the richness of the aromas. Finally, the wine is racked, filtered and bottled.

Food Pairing: This wine is a perfect accompaniment to red meat, dishes in sauce, duck and goose. It is particularly good with strong cheeses.
