Kingfisher Bay Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

Kingfisher Bay Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

  • Savoury oak
  • Black cherry
  • Blackberries
  • Silky structure

"It's ripe and beautifully fragrant on the nose with dark plum, sweet cherry, olive and assorted nut aromas, followed by a silky-smooth palate that's succulent and fleshy. Well rounded and smooth to the finish. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Nov 2023

A fruit driven, easy drinking Pinot Noir with a soft, elegant palate, well-balanced acidity and flavours that linger. The palate is fruit forward with blackberries, raspberries and black cherry with a savoury mid palate and silky structure and savoury oak on the finish.

Kingfisher Bay is a glorious bay in the Port Underwood area of the Marlborough Sounds not far from Marlborough Valley’s vineyards.

The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. They were harvested when flavours were at their optimum in the cool of the morning.

Food Pairing: An ideal wine with beef bourguignon.
