Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015 (France)
"This has some density to the cherry, berry, spice and smoke flavors, but remains ripe and charming. Firms up on the finish, where earth and spice notes mingle. Drink now through 2023" Wine Spectator, October 2017
"A midly reduced nose is clearly ripe and I doubt that the funk will persist for long. Otherwise there is both good volume and richness to the delicious and mouth coating flavors that display excellent depth and length if not much refinement. Still this is a fine example of the genre and worth a look plus it will age if desired" Burghound, April 2017
Bright red colour in the glass with intense aromas of ripe black cherries mixed with liquorice and spices. The palate is complex and well crafted with a tight, soft texture with well integrated tannins. Long and refreshing aftertaste.
After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest started early September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Grapes for this wine were exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, from plots of Domaine Chanson and from Terroirs located in the south of the Côte de Beaune.
Food pairing : Super 'everyday' drinking Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
