M by Montana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022
This fragrant Sauvignon Blanc is alive with tropical aromas of passionfruit and stone fruit, and notes of citrus, elderflower, and tomato leaf undertones. The palate is crisp, zesty, and refreshing. An outstanding citrusy concentration, with underlying minerality on the midpalate leads to a lively, dry finish. This wine is made to be enjoyed young but may be cellared carefully for up to 3 years while more developed flavours emerge.
The M by Montana 2022 Sauvignon Blanc uses grapes sourced from across the Marlborough region – from the Wairau to the Awatere valleys, presenting a ‘classic’ style of Sauvignon Blanc that the world just adores. The majority of the grapes were harvested from our own vineyards situated in the Southern Wairau, from the moderately well-drained loamy alluvium of the Southern valleys. Roughly 16% of the grapes come from the Awatere. But contribute much of the herbaceous character of this wine, resulting in a complex flavour and aroma profile.
Food Pairing: Fresh salt and acid driven foods will match beautifully with this wine. Try caprese with sun ripened tomatoes, fresh basil, and buffalo mozzarella. A fresh seafood dish such as ceviche with a mix of seasonal fruits, crunchy capsicum and coriander will help extenuate the grassy tones of this wine.
