Maison Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay 2022 (France)
"Vinified and aged in a well-judged combination of used oak and stainless steel, giving both freshness and depth to the palate. Nose of citrus, buttered toast and lemon cough drops. More toasty citrus on the rounded palate, with a creamy texture that is balanced by poised acidity for a fresh finish. A great food wine" Decanter, Sep 2023
Expressive nose of green apple, pear and crushed stone with floral notes. The palate is full of fresh, citrus fruits with slight tropical notes of apricots and pineapples.
The Bourgogne Chardonnay is a blend of various grapes coming mainly from Côte d'Or and Mâconnais.
Part of this cuvée is aged in oak barrels and part of it in stainless steel tanks. The result is a combination of freshness, fruitiness and structure and nice body.
The various wines are blended after a traditional vinification. Aging lasts 8 to 10 months in oak barrels from our cooperage or in stainless steel vats before being bottled.
