Marlborough Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2020

Marlborough Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2020

  • Seasoned oak
  • Apricot & mango
  • Roasted cashew
  • Long finish

"It's immediately appealing on the nose showing apricot, mango, subtle vanilla and roasted cashew notes. The palate offers ripe fruit intensity backed by creamy mouthfeel and juicy acidity, making it enticing and lingering. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2021

A stylish and elegant Chardonnay offering plenty of delicious flavours. The nose displaying hints of ripe white peach, tropical fruits and freshly baked biscuits makes this a very appealing wine.

Gently crafted in stainless steel and seasoned oak while undergoing malolactic fermentation.  After this process, the wine was aged for  9 months in seasoned Oak and lightly fined. This helped produce a soft creamy palate with plenty of fullness. The flavours of clean, ripe stone-fruit, and subtle hazelnut are seamlessly interwoven with a minerality thread that draws out its length.  Drinking well now, and will continue to develop over the next few years.

Food Pairing: well matched with classic roast chicken and all the trimmings.
