Mont'Albano Montepulciano D'Abruzzo 2022 DOC (Italy)
- Blackberries
- Cherries
- Cloves
- Soft tannins
"Big and generous with a savoury oak backbone. The classic wine of Abruzzo in Italy, an italian red made from the Montepulciano grape variety. This wine is ripe and almost sweet with boysenberry, cassis, spiced plum, almond and leather. Medium to firm tannins. Hints of soy and truffle" Phil Parker
Earth to produce and time to prepare,' is the philosophy of Mont’Albano. Brilliant, attractive and warm ruby-red colour. Ample and remarkably complex, with vinous and characteristic tones. Dry on the palate and gracious, with delicate and soft veining, and a fine and harmonious balance.
Mont’Albano was founded in 1985 in the heart of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, as a result of the intuition of Mauro Braidot who, unlike the majority of the producers of the time, converted his 5 hectares (12.3 acres) of vineyard to organic production. Mont'Albano was green before it was in fashion. For them it was, and continues to be, a life choice, a way of looking not only at the vineyards but at the world around us.
