A Bordeaux style with aromas of dark berry fruits, olive and toasted nuts. The palate is playful with characters of of ripe black plums and soft tannins with an underlying subtle oak. Drinking beautifully now this wine can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years or beyond.
The free draining gravel type soil in the Hawke’s Bay, combined with the climate are the perfect mix for the growth of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The fruit was carefully monitored during ripening and harvested in the cool evening at maximum flavour maturing and physiological ripeness.
