Mountford Estate North Canterbury Liaison Chardonnay 2018

A beautiful golden colour in the glass, this dry Chardonnay offers aromas of ripe stonefruits and honey with notes of banana and passionfruit. On the palate you will experience buttery fudge and honey comb in combination with vanilla flavours.

This boutique winery has become internationally renowned for its elegant wines which display fantastic quality and interest. Mountford Estate's stunning 10 hectare vineyard is situated on the Eastern hillside of the Waipara Valley, highly regarded for its limestone rich soil. Whilst in the winery, winemakers place strong emphasis on attention to detail and employ traditional Burgundian methods, to produce wines of distinction.

On the vineyard, grapes were harvested using biodynamic viticulture. The vines have an average age of 5 years, planted in topsoil over clay with limestone deposits. In the winery this wine was 100% fermented in 50% new French oak using CY3079 yeast. Later it was matured in 50% new French oak for 12 months.
