Mystery Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2024 (01)
Black Market Mystery Wines™ are simply wines we love, with the branding hidden and revealed only when it arrives at your door!
"Attractively fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows golden peach, pineapple, nougat, and citrus peel aromas. The palate displays succulent fruit flavours, a creamy mouthfeel, and fine acidity, making it well-balanced and flavoursome. At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2026
Mid straw. Lifted aromatics of zesty lime and citrus. The palate has great fruit concentration and texture, exhibiting fresh stonefruit and toasty brioche characters, balanced by subtle lime zest and a hint of florals.
2024 vintage is being hailed as exceptional across Hawkes Bay. Favorable weather conditions allowed the vines to ripen perfectly. This resulted in excellent ripeness, with wines showcasing impressive flavor intensity and depth.
After moderate clarification the juice was fermented with a minimum temperature of 14 degrees. The wines remained on primary yeast lees until racking and blending, during which time they underwent secondary malolactic fermentation.
Food Pairing: Delicious with camembert cheese, pan seared salmon or other white meat dishes.
