Rich dark hues of crimson. A full-bodied, expressive and elegantly structured blend of 55% Hawkes Bay Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. Redplum and blueberry notes complement a smooth and fragrant spice.
The grapes we used to make this Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon were sourced from vineyards located in the renowned Hawke's Bay region. The curve of river meeting hillside, and the touch of breeze from the Pacific Ocean bless this area with alluvial soils, warm temperatures and low rainfall. The old Ngaruroro River meanders through and nourishes the region, while the free draining soil creates both consistency and complexity.
