Deep purple in colour, floral aromas with a touch of red licorice. The palate is medium weight with supple tannins and a savoury finish.
A challenging spring preceeded an extremely long warm Summer with January recording 3.5º C above average temperatures. February through to March was dryer than normal leading to optimal picking conditions late April. A favourable vintage has been well rewarded.
Harvested early April. Tank fermented with regular pumping over for colour, flavour and tannin extraction. Oak maturation with regular racking for clarification and freshening.
