Pied Stilt Single Vineyard Nelson Albarino 2017
"It is elegantly expressed on the nose showing fresh pear, apple, lemon zest and green tea characters. The palate is delicately fruited and finely textured, delivering pristine flavours and subtle savoury nuances, beautifully supported by crisp acidity. Vibrant and refreshing with lively mouthfeel. At its best: now to 2020" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2018
Pale-Straw colour in the glass. Punchy aromatics of pear and yellow apple, with secondary notes of honey and lemon blossom. Fresh, lively & crisp stone fruit and tropical fruit flavours, with a zippy acidity and a dry, lingering, mineral finish. An energetic and aromatic white, perfectly suited for seafood dishes.
Arguably Spain's best white varietal & a great alternative to Sauvignon Blanc.
From a family owned, single vineyard site on the Hua Gravels, which formerly was the Motueka riverbed. The vineyard was developed with organic and sustainable viticulture and the wine left on lees for 3 months.
Food Pairing: Lemon & lime ceviche & prawns.
