If you like the fruity, spicy reds of the Languedoc, the Terres d'Orb delivers in spades. Carignan, Grenache, Merlot and Cab Sav unleash a Bacchanalian orgy of flavour thanks to a fruit forward style of winemaking. They are crafted by Alain Rogier, 2015 the IWC Winemaker of the Year, at the Cave de Roquebrun, which ranks among the finest wineries in Southern France.
Made from 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 35% Cab/Sav, 20% Carignan and 10% Grenache. (The Grenache is from 30+ year old vines). This lovely southern French red has a delicate, elegant nose with red fruit aromas. Notes of blackberry, chocolate and liquorice on the palate. Soft, harmonious and well-balanced. Oodles of drinkability.

This is ripe, fragrant and richly flavoured, showing dark plum, blueberry, almond and subtle spice notes on the nose. The palate is juicy and generous with excellent fruit purity as well as subtle savoury complexity, beautifully supported by fleshy mouthfeel and fine tannins. This is highly enjoyable, especially at this awesome price. At its best: now to 2018.
