Rossendale Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2025
This wine a refreshing style, fresh and crisp with aromas of ripe tropical fruits. The dominant flavours are passionfruit and ripe pears.
Grapes for this wine were grown in vineyards situated in the heart of Marlborough’s Central Valley. An export certified spray programme was adhered to. Irrigation, if required, was by trickle system. Operated under the Sustainable Winegrowing accreditation (SWNZ) system.
Machine harvested in late March 2025 from family vineyards. The grapes were harvested in batches determined by maturity of flavors. With long sunshine hours, the diurnal shift of warm days and cool nights allow the grapes to ripen slowly and to retain acidity.
Fermentation was temperature controlled in stainless steel tanks. The controlled fermentation was used to maximize primary fruit aroma and flavour. After completion of fermentation, parcels were selected to make the final blend. The slight creamy vanilla notes were achieved with through partial malolactic fermentation.
