Saint Clair Vicar's Choice Marlborough Chardonnay 2025

Saint Clair Vicar's Choice Marlborough Chardonnay 2025

An easy drinking Chardonnay bursting with ripe stone fruit, citrus and spice. Light gold core with a thin lemon rim. Bright aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus and a hint of cream. Fresh and clean, offering layers of ripe nectarine and peach, underpinned by subtle citrus nuances. The palate is full and round with notes of warmed spice on the finish. Drinking well now and will continue to develop complexity over the next two to three years.

Fruit was selected from several vineyards across the Marlborough region with a variety of different clones. This careful selection of fruit contributes to the complexity of the wine. The grapes were harvested at peak ripeness and gently fermented in stainless steel, with select parcels aged in seasoned French and American oak to enhance character. Each component underwent malolactic fermentation to bring softness and a rounded mouthfeel. After several months of lees aging, the parcels were assessed and blended to create the final wine.

Food Pairing: Perfectly matched with succulent poached chicken and seasonal vegetables.
