Te Mata Estate Vineyards Hawke's Bay Pinot Noir 2020

Te Mata Estate Vineyards Hawke's Bay Pinot Noir 2020

  • French oak
  • Raspberries
  • Honey & tea
  • Soft tannins

Radiant cherry-red, Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’20 dazzles with raspberries, peonies, oolong tea and manuka honey. All this bright red fruit, along with lingering notes of baking spice and sandalwood, merge with the ripe, soft tannins to create a generous palate and fine, moreish finish. Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’20 is enticing and sustained. A wine of elegant composition.

Estate Vineyards Pinot Noir ’20 was harvested between 26 February and 9 March 2020 from Te Mata Estate’s own vineyards in Woodthorpe Terraces.

The individual lots were each destemmed and given a traditional warm-plunged fermentation. The resulting wines underwent extended maceration on skins before pressing. The separate wines were then run to a mixture of new and seasoned French oak barriques for 11 months’ maturation.

Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family owned, producing internationally recognised wines exclusively from its historic, Hawkes Bay vineyards. Estate grown. Estate bottled. Estate wines.
