The Odd One Out Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

The Odd One Out Marlborough Pinot Noir 2021

  • Seasoned oak
  • Dark cherry
  • Subtle spice
  • Fine tannins

"Sweetly ripe and inviting, the fragrant bouquet shows dark cherry, floral, thyme and subtle spice aromas, followed by a fruit-forward palate delivering succulent fruit flavours with supple texture and fine tannins. Well balanced and harmonious with a lengthy silky finish. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2023

This wine has sweet berry fruit aromas with a subtle hint of dried thyme. The palate is round and full, tasting of strong black cherry, raspberry and Olive brine flavours, the structure is silky smooth with a lingering savoury finish.

A fruit driven, Marlborough Pinot Noir with grapes sourced from select vineyards within the Wairau valley. This area of Marlborough is known for its long sunshine hours and cooler evenings, helping to maximise berry flavour. Upon reaching maximum ripeness, the grapes were machine harvested and transported to the winery before being pressed, fermented, and matured in a small portion of seasoned oak.

Food Pairing: The fruity, earthy notes of the 2021 Pinot noir, pair perfectly with a gamey lamb dish.
