Travaglini Rosso Cinzia NV (Italy)

Travaglini Rosso Cinzia NV (Italy)

  • Violet
  • Liquorice
  • Medium bodied
  • Silky tannins

A red wine; with a delicate mineral note with hints of violet, rose and liquorice. In the mouth is fresh, well balanced, with silky tannins and a long and smooth finish.

Nebbiolo grapes grown in soils with rocky and abundant minerals of iron which give the typical reddish colour to the indigenous rock. Climate is mild in respect to that of the plain. It permits an even distribution of precipitation between both spring and autumn, and ventilation of the vineyard supported by almost daily “descending” winds brought about by the Alpine bow. In the winter, snow is frequent, which supports the slow process of sedimentation of the soil.

Grapes are crushed and macerated for about 10-12 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine ages for 12-18 months in stainless steel tanks.

Food Pairing: starters, pasta dishes, roasted meat and seasoned cheese.
