Rich red and purple colour in the glass. Brambly red fruits with enticing earthy and chocolate background. Rich sweet fruit approach, great texture and elegant structure. A bright, fresh and generous Pinot Noir grown on deep, free draining Waipara Valley gravels.

Sourced from Waipara Valley vineyard sites with deep free draining gravel soils, with the exception of the Dunnolly vineyard which is on deep rich clay soils.

The fruit was de-stemmed, retaining while berries and cold soaked for five days before allowed to gradually warm, Fermentation started with a range of yeasts and ran for approximately seven days, during which the was plunged three times a day and drained and returned at least once. Some of the ferments were left on skins for an additional two-three weeks before being drained, pressed and settled. Finally the wine went to a selection of barrels and tanks for maturation and MLF.

Food Pairing: At room temperature with wholesome food such as slow cooked lamb with saffron and smoked garlic.
