A pale lime to pale straw colour in the glass, with lifted kaffir lime, passionfruit pulp and lemon zest dominating the nose. The palate is aflush with flavour, presenting concentrated citrus through to tropical fruit harnessed by a salivating acid line that ensures the wine is moreish from front to back.
Marlborough is renowned for aromatic whites and Pinot Noir. The parcels of Wild Rock's Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are sourced from premium vineyards in Marlborough, with rich alluvial soil creating wines with great depth and fruit intensity. The Marlborough region covers cooler and drier inland sites as well as earlier ripening vineyards that are more exposed to the sea breeze of the coast, all expressing pure and intensely flavoured grapes of exceptional quality.
2020 was an iconic vintage with the weather remaining cool but dry until Feburary, then dry through ripening period.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks with maturation taking place over 3 months.
