Wishbone Marlborough Pinot Noir 2020

Wishbone Marlborough Pinot Noir 2020

  • Dark cherry
  • Floral notes
  • Subtle spice
  • Soft, fine tannins

"Pristine and beautifully lifted, the bouquet shows raspberry, dark cherry, floral and subtle spice notes, leading to a rounded palate displaying silky texture and soft tannins. Very approachable and friendly. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2020

Aromas of gorgeous dark cherry and dried thyme combine with aromatic spices. The palate is warm and smooth with an explosion of juicy plums and boysenberries.   These fruit flavours are combined with balanced acidity, fine structured tannin and a smooth textured finish. Drink now or patient cellaring will reward over the next five years.

The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. Once harvested this wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation before being blended, fined, lightly filtered and gently prepared for bottling.

Food Pairing: Well matched with Duck a L’Orange or other wild game.
