- Black cherry
- Warm spices
- Balanced acidity
- Smooth texture
"This is sweetly ripe and fragrant on the nose with dark cherry, thyme, toasted almond and warm spice nuances, leading to a silky palate offering succulent fruit flavours together with fine gentle tannins, finishing elegantly dry and lingering. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2022
Aromas of gorgeous black cherry and dried thyme combine with aromatic spices. The palate is warm and smooth with an explosion of raspberries and boysenberries. These fruit
flavours are combined with balanced acidity, fine structured tannin and a smooth textured finish. Drink now or patient cellaring will reward over the next five years.
The fruit was sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards from the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough. Once harvested this wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation before being blended, fined, lightly filtered and gently prepared for bottling.
Food Pairing: Well matched with smoked salmon with garlic crushed potatoes.
