144 Islands Coco Maeve Bay Of Islands Rosé 2022
"A co-fermented blend of 82% Syrah and 18% Mourvèdre. Deep-tinted Rosé. Smooth-textured and mouth-filling wine with vinous (rather than fruity) flavours, including dried herbs and strawberry compote" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Oct 2023

A luscious salmon-pink. Intriguing array of citrus fruit on both the nose and palate. An almost satin-like texture, satiating phenolic pucker and salinity lend to phenomenal lengthon the palate. Think; blood orange, wild strawberry granita, wet gravel, oyster shell & salted white peach. Best drinking 2022 - 2030.
Made from early-picked Syrah and Mourvedre, this Rosé was pressed as whole bunches, briefly settled in stainless steel, before being fermented in 500L oak puncheons.
Retained on fine lees for 6 months before being racked and bottled without fining and only coarse filtration.
