Albert Bichot Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes de Chardonnay 2018 (France)

  • White florals
  • Honey
  • Dried fruit
  • French oak

This wine features an elegant white flower and citrus nose which leads to notes of honey and dried fruits. The palate is very well balanced, effortlessly blending vivacity and roundness. Made with 100% Chardonnay grapes. Enjoy while young or cellar for up to two years from vintage date.

The Bourgogne Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes (old vines) is produced from 25 - 35 year old vines located in the Côte de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. The diversity of their exposure and altitude allows the winery to work with a mosaic of plots. Consequently, the winery is able to achieve gorgeous aromatic complexity. The vines' venerable age gives this wine particularly concentrated aromas, with straightforward and characteristic flavours.

Grapes were grown in calcareous clay soil. Vinification occured in tanks (80%) and barrels (20%) for between five and six weeks. Ageing occured in tanks (80%) and barrels (20%) for between eight and twelve months.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with seafood, fish cooked in sauce, or simply prepared white meats.
