B&G Côtes du Rhône Les Galets 2019 (France)

B&G Côtes du Rhône Les Galets 2019 (France)

  • Moderate oak
  • Floral notes
  • Blackcurrant & black cherry
  • Subtle pepper

"Classic bouquet of Côtes du Rhone with aromas of sweet plums and spice, a mix of blue and red fruits, some floral layers and a whisper of freshly squeezed raspberries including from whole-berry maceration. Very approachable on the palate with a balanced mix of fruit flavours, fine tannins and acidity. Moderate to low oak allows the core of the style to power through the palate. Balanced, well made and ready. Drinking best upon purchase and through 2025. Excellent with cheese or casseroles" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, May 2021

An intense purple red color in the glass. Intense nose of flowers (violet) and black fruits (black cherry, blackcurrant) combined with peppery hints. Full on the palate with a nice fruity and spicy aftertaste.

From Southern Rhône, between Montélimar and Avignon, different terroirs add complexity and richness to the wine in a Mediterranean climate.

In the winery grapes were de-stalked before being aged on fine lees in stainless steel vats with oxidation control.

Food Pairing: Spicy food, red meat in sauce, cheese.
