Babich Family Estates Headwaters Marlborough Organic Rosé 2022
"A lovely expression with aromas and flavours of fresh and tart raspberries, red cherry and some red apple skin. Floral and mineral too with an hibiscus quality and wet stone minerality. Crisp, fruity, refreshing, salivating and dry on the palate with flavours that reflect the bouquet" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Dec 2022

Juicy and fleshy upfront with lots of fresh fruit, including Braeburn apple and raspberry, and a nice creamy feel. Spicy length with lingering minerality.
A blend of 63% Sauvignon Blanc; 18% Pinot Gris; 7% Chardonnay; 6% Pinot Noir; 4% Grüner Veltliner; 2% Gewürztraminer all grown in the Wairau Valley subregion of Marlborough.
Machine harvested and quickly crushed and destemmed before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks (20% wild, 80% inoculated). 15% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation before 4 months maturation on lees. Wine was filtered and fined with pea protein before bottling.
Food Pairing: Would be a perfect accompaniment to a summer picnic or alongside spicy Indian cuisine.
