Black Barn Hawkes Bay Rosé 2018
"Mid-salmon and apricot core hues with aromas and flavours of plum, cherry and peach; a light dry stone mineral note and gentle fruit spice moments. Loads of texture on the palate with a light fine tannin layer accentuated by firm and refreshing acidity, lengthy finish. Well suited to food" Cameron Douglas, Master Somilier
Clear and bright in the glass this perfect summer drop is bursting with lively fruits nortes. Mouthfilling and rich, this is no light-weight, with its sweet fruit, crisp acid, generous flavours. It's clean and tangy and perfectly suited as an aperitif or in any alfresco setting. Stunning summer wine.
Black Barn's philosophy is to make artisan wines that are food friendly, have texture, palate interest and balance.
2018 marks the 16th vintage of Rosé on purpose from Black Barn and is an in house summer favourite. Produced from Estate grown Merlot grapes, this fresh crisp wine is just a touch off dry with flavours of strawberry and pomegranate. Selectively picked then pressed immediately to prevent excess colour and tannin. Cool fermentation has captured the bright fruit characters in a bone-dry Provence inspired style.
Food Pairing: Perfect with seafood and dessert
