Casa Santos Lima Red Blend Portugal Tinto 2017 (Portugal)

Casa Santos Lima Red Blend Portugal Tinto 2017 (Portugal)

  • Raspberry & cherry
  • Floral notes
  • Five spice
  • Rich tannins

"Portuguese winemakers are masters at blending different grapes, and this wine is seen as a homage to their skills. Bringing together a range of Portuguese and international varieties, the wine is firm, structured and richly tannic. It has great acidity to balance the black fruits, and has some aging potential" Wine Enthusiast

This is a red-fruited, juicy, easy-drinking red that will do surprisingly well in cellar over the next few years.  The generous aromas feature sweet red cherry, black plum and Asian five spice powder lead to a juicy fresh palate of raspberry, cherry and plum fruit plus more spice and a light floral accent.

Portugal has been hailed by wine buffs at Wine Spectator magazine as “the most exciting wine place on the planet,” and rightly so. There is incredible value to be had; rich, robust reds and a heritage of winemaking excellence that goes back centuries.
