Col de Salici Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Brut 2024 (Italy)

Col de Salici Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG Brut 2024 (Italy)

Fruity notes with hints of green apple, light peach and citrus. Memories of white flowers and herbal accent. Harmonius with a controlled acidity for a light sapid finish.

The 2024 vintage in Valdobbiadene was marked by unstable and rainy weather, especially in spring. Between April and mid-June, more than 400 mm of rain fell combined with low temperatures and saturated soils that delayed vine growth until July. Summer conditions remained variable but gradually improved towards harvest. Fortunately, the weeks leading up to harvest brought more favorable weather, allowing healthy grapes to be brought in. Yields were slightly below average, but overall fruit quality was good. In the end, despite climatic challenges, 2024 closed on a positive note for Conegliano Valdobbiadene.

After the pressing, the must is left to rest in stainless steel tanks chilled to a temperature of 5-10°C. The 20% of the grapes selected for Col de’ Salici BRUT comes from two historic vineyards and each plot is vinified separately. After a careful tasting the different vattings are assembled so as to achieve a perfect balance on the glass.
