This little beauty features a lifted nose of rosehip, summer berries and black pepper. The palate is spicy with cherry and mulberry fruit, finishing with fine tannin and refreshing acidity.
The Mingsha Shan shows the lighter side of McLaren Vale Shiraz. 1% fiano skins were cofermented to highlight the fragrance in the region’s favourite grape.
The 2018 vintage was excellent in McLaren Vale. We were set up with good winter rains in 2017 so we had very healthy canopies going into the growing season. The ripening period was warm without any extreme heat or adverse weather events. In turn the wines show excellent depth of colour and flavour. A more structural year than 2017 but with exceptional balance.
