Bright red fruited lift, white pepper, sweet herbs lift then blue and black fruits, amaro bitter herbs, chinotto like lift. Palate is fine and bright, punchy acid and lovely feathery tannin, lively and fresh with an array of sour red fruits, blue fruits and some amaro bitter notes. The TIRARI is a vibrant medium bodied red. It is made from Touriga, Grenache, Negroamaro, Mourvedre and a little Shiraz.
The 2019 vintage in McLaren Vale was dry, resulting in a small vintages. Yields were down, particularly with shiraz and cabernet, but the wines show impressive depth and balance. These Mediterranean varieties showed their potential under these conditions, producing solid yields, great balance, flavour and acidity. Nero d'avola, montepulciano and touriga ripened late, but once again with great balance and flavour. Whites held up their acidity, producing mid-weight wines with beautiful fragrance.
